Dinosaurs Alive will also introduce audiences to the breakthrough discoveries taking place under the towering red sandstone buttes and rock chimneys in northern New Mexico. Since the 1940s, AMNH scientists have uncovered excellent specimens at the mysterious Ghost Ranch, where erosion has cut down through the many levels of sediment to expose fossils of the earliest dinosaurs from the
Triassic Period, some 230 million years ago. At that time reptiles still ruled the earth and dinosaurs were actually modest in size — no larger than a cat, dog, or human. Dinosaurs exploded in diversity and size during the later Jurassic Period. Scientists have recently discovered a “monster” buried near Ghost Ranch. It was a long-necked sauropod calledSeismosaurus — meaning ‘thunder lizard’ — that was a massive 121 feet long. In the film, audiences will witness this behemoth thundering about on screen, in stark contrast to the more diminutive Triassic dinosaurs.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being.
Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
Steve Jobs, chairman of the board of Apple and industry icon for decades, has died.
Apple, the company he co-founded, released this statement:
We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.
Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.
His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.
The front page of Apple.com displayed a picture of the late Steve Jobs, and the second page contained a tribute to the industry leader:
Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who’ve been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve lost a dear friend and inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
If you would like to share your thoughts, memories, and condolences, please email rememberingsteve@apple.com.
In August, Steve Jobs stepped down from his position as CEO of Apple, where in his resignation letter he wrote the following:
“I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
“I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.”
Apple CEO Tim Cook released the following statement:
“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
We are planning a celebration of Steve’s extraordinary life for Apple employees that will take place soon. If you would like to share your thoughts, memories and condolences in the interim, you can simply emailrememberingsteve@apple.com.
No words can adequately express our sadness at Steve’s death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him. We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Laurene and his children during this difficult time.”
Bill Gates, former CEO of Microsoft, was quoted by The New York Times as saying that he was “truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs’s death.” He added: “The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it’s been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely.”
Steven P. Jobs is survived by his wife Laurene, their three children, and one child from a previous relationship.
A view of the railroad station in Cebu. This was located in the junction of what is now corner Leon Kilat and P. del Rosario Streets. Work on the construction of the railroad started early in the American occupation. By 1908, a 60-mile railroad running through the capital connected Danao in the north and Argao in the south.

The central station and the depot were located in Cebu City somewhere at the area now occupied by the Cebu South Bus Terminal and the CITOM-LTO compound. The railway system ceased to function after World War II. Buses then were beginning to gain popularity among the locals

The 60th Miss Universe beauty pageant will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil at September 12, 2011 at the Credicard Hall. This will be the night when the current beauty queen, Miss Mexico’s Ximena Navarrete will be turning over her crown to her successor. This is also the event with the highest number of countries participating, with eighty-nine countries sending their representatives. This has surpassed the record achieved last 2006, when eighty-six countries participated in the pageant. Which country will achieve the honor and glory of having the world’s most beautiful remains to be seen, so the competition will be intense.
Watch 2011 Miss Universe Live Streamthis September 12, 2011 held from the beautiful city of São Paulo, Brazil. Witness the 60th Miss Universe beauty pageant with 89 most alluring candidates from around the world parade in their Evening Gown and Swimsuit.
The contest began last 1952, when the contest was founded by the Pacific Mills clothing company. Later on it was acquired by Kayser-Roth, and then by Gulf and Western Industries. In 1996, Donald Trump acquired the organization. Two years later, he had the name changed from Miss Universe, Inc. to Miss Universe Organization. Trump also brought in a new team of professional, headed by the pageant’s CEO, Molly Miles, and its president Maureen Reidy. Part of the pageant’s reinvention is the use of the slogan “Reinvented for Today” for all its promotions. Currently, the pageant’s president is Paula Shugart. The organization also sells television rights of the pageant to television companies all over the world.
Candidates for the pageant are usually selected through national pageants held in their respective countries, although that is not the norm. In other countries, a candidate can be selected through a “casting call” organized by a modeling agency. Of course, the Miss Universe Organization discourages such practice, as the more traditional approach of a national competition is more apt for the international event. Still, some factors, like political unrest, conflict of schedules, among other things will result to a country designating a young woman to become their representative.
The Miss Universe event, as said by its organizers, is not just a beauty pageant. Beauty is not the only requirement for women who wish to become the next Miss Universe. They must be intelligent, well-mannered, as well as cultured. They must also be able to represent the spirit of their respective countries. Oftentimes, candidates who fail the reach the crown are those who are unable to answer the final question given near the end of event.
Who will be the crowned as the fairest of them all? That remains to be seen on September 12 coronation night. Still, only one thing is for sure: this will be one unforgettable night for the whole world.

ABOUT ECO-WALK 2011
The Mandaue Business Month (MBM) is an annual business celebration spearheaded by MCCI in cooperation with the local governments to highlight public-private partnership and sustainable and socially-responsible entrepreneurship.
Last year, MCCI has signed a CALL TO ACTION along with its other partner chambers and organizations during the MBM 2010 to commit to implement sustainable business practices in its daily operations and to reach out to the community, other companies, government organizations, educational institutions, policy makers to ensure that its member organization’s practices, products and services meet the highest possible Sustainable Business potentials.
To follow through the commitment it made the previous year, MCCI themed this year’s MBM as “Transformation through Innovation” to bring forth and showcase the best economic, social and cultural endowments and potentials of Mandaue City, the premier industrial hub of the South by inspiring, educating and advocating for sustainable and environment-friendly business practices while achieving growth.
The business celebration will close with the Eco-Walk: Sustainability in Style Fashion Show to be directed by Joey Alberto and in partnership with Anthill Fabric Gallery and the University of San Carlos (USC) Fashion Design students under the mentorship of Peewee Sineneng.

was so stress from my trip to Borbon joining the ABS-CBN Rated K team video shoot on the famous Takyong Village in Borbon, when i got home it was already past 9pm when i was inform from a friend who is a member also of ilearners Inc. and Cebu Bloggers Society Inc if i will be joining the emerging influential blog 2011. I was further inform on the deadline of the submission which is a short notice for me… it made me realized that i was quite really busy on my event for the Mandaue Business Month 2011 of MCCI. After an hour, i decided to join the contest, not just hoping to win but to help my friend in this contest because i believed on the Libotero’s blog vision “As a young traveller, Sinjin will still be exploring a lot of places, he committed his self to share his experience on his journey to the different place in cebu and to the world, which is the author is Mr. Sinjin Pineda.
I knew quite some time about this search but i remain passive about this cause time won’t allow me. I strongly believed on the goal of this search, that is through the annual Emerging Influential Blogs Writing Project initiated by Ms. Janette Toral.
LIBOTERO – Sinjin, started blogging last May 1, 2010 only to serve as a repository of their family travels but then it reached to a turning point when he travel to solo last June. He was able to conquer his fear in travelling alone and he further realized that he loved what he was doing. He was inspired to share his experience and insights that he gather and learned in every place he encountered. I believed Libotero speaks more on a personal experience point of view and this will truly help the readers be able to absorb the realities in travelling, be able to learned that their is still a home away from home.
